
Colin McGrory Technical
Director
Colin Mcgrory qualified as a metallurgist whilst working in the non ferrous industry specialising on material
refinement and high conductivity materials.
He then moved into aerospace as a metallurgical engineer working on the development of non destructive analysis tools and post flight failure analysis on both civil and military aircraft.
Colin transferred his skills to motorsport. Initially working with the fledgling Arrows team where he became an R&D Engineer working with Ross Brawn on race car development, FiA technical compliance and trackside data systems.
In 1996 he went to work for Jackie Stewart alongside Alan Jenkins to set up the new F1 team where
he implemented the team infrastructure and developed internal systems
and technologies.
Colin was Engineering Manager at Stewart Grand Prix through its transformation to Jaguar Racing working
with Niki Lauda and Bobby Rahal. He
was the key technical liaison engineer between the UK team and its
Detroit owners.
In 2003 Colin left his position with Jaguar Racing in order to concentrate on the development of Sandwell UK Ltd.
He has since employed key professionals to help the development
of processes and technical expertise within Sandwell

the requirements of UK and European engineering companies.
