Titanium Anodising

Titanium anodising is a means of producing a range of coloured oxide layers on the surface of components. This is both a stable and repeatable finish. The anodizing process can be applied to all Titanium alloys from commercially pure to multiple titanium alloys.

PROCESS

Titanium anodising Is a process whereby a surface oxide of TiO 2 is produced in a temperature controlled electrolyte. This oxide layer develops a colour in relation to its thickness; this appearance is as a result of the oxide depth in relation to the wavelength of light.

APPLICATIONS
Titanium anodising can be used on all Titanium alloys producing a range of repeatable colours. Sandwell currently produces a range of 4 colours.

Light Blue STA 041

Dark Blue STA 042

Purple STA 043

Gold STA 044

Other colours available on request

Parts that have been anodised will retain both electrical and thermal conductivity properties allowing ease of identification for electrical connectors.

Sandwell will be pleased to quote for multiple batches or individual components, send in your drawing or components for evaluation, or call for technical advice.
